We Believe... GOD -- That there is one true God, infinitely perfect, sovereign, and existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. JESUS CHRIST -- That He is true God and true man -- conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. He died for our sins, and rose from the dead. HOLY SPIRIT -- That He is a divine person, sent to indwell, guide, teach, and empower the believer. BIBLE -- That it is inspired by God and is therefore inerrant, as originally given. The books are a complete revelation of God's will for the salvation of man, and they constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice. MAN -- Originally created in the image and likeness of God, he fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. SALVATION -- That all people are born with a sinful nature and are separated from God, but restoration has been provided through Jesus Christ. All who repent and believe in Him receive eternal life. CHRISTIAN LIFE -- That each believer should and can be filled with the Holy Spirit and fully dedicated to the will of God, empowered for holy living and effective service. CHURCH -- That the Church consists of all those who have been forgiven and restored through Christ. Christ is the head of the church and has commissioned His Church to make disciples, spreading the good news of the gospel to all nations. SECOND COMING -- That Jesus Christ is coming again. This is the believer's great hope-filled incentive to holy living and faithful service. PRACTICES -- The ordinances of Communion (the first Sunday of each month) and of believer baptism by immersion are observed.
